Description
The Cercs power station, which uses coal from the mining area of Berguedà as well as imported coal, has produced electricity and distributed this throughout Catalonia since it was first opened in 1971.
A visit to the power station offers an opportunity to learn about some of the areas of the power station, its operation, the water cycle and the problems and solutions applied in order to ensure that electricity is produced in a way that is as environmentally sound as possible.
