Manresa city centre
The Pilgrim’s Walk stretches from Montserrat to Manresa. This final section of the Ignatian Way forms part of the Manresa 2022 project, which will commemorate the 500th anniversary of Saint Ignatius’ stay in the municipality.
It covers 26 kilometres with an elevation gain of 600 metres and an elevation loss of 1,108 metres. It’s a moderately difficult walk that takes approximately five hours to complete. The starting point is Montserrat Monastery, which can be reached by a combination of train and rack railway (included in the registration price). The 2018 event has incorporated two circular walks, of 15 kilometres and 10 kilometres respectively, which start at the Plaça Major in Manresa and which include refreshments.
