Sports, Water & Fun

In the morning, a windsurfing lesson or a kayaking ride. In the afternoon, a water skiing session or optimist dinghy trip to feel the caress of the breeze on your face. The following day, a few cable jumps with the board, an introduction to stand-up paddle surfing or a spin on a jet ski. At Costa Barcelona's Catalonian Olympic Canal, you can do all of this, and much more. Would you like to find out if your body is waterproof?

The Catalonian Olympic Canal, located in Castelldefels, is a great way of doing exercise in the open air. Next to the beach, surrounded by Mediterranean pines and built on the wetlands of the Llobregat delta, this artificial channel is a dream setting for doing all sorts of water sports.

Built for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the canal has considerable dimensions and is designed to satisfy the needs of all sportspeople: old and young, amateurs and professionals alike. The range of activities that you can do here is very broad and includes the vast majority of water sports and activities, from canoeing and sailing to peddle cars and water bicycles.

Children will be thrilled with the inflatable water park and have a great time riding the water slides, climbing the iceberg, balancing and jumping on the trampolines. Teenagers will love the Wake Park: featuring a 650-metre long cable, doing jumps on the water will take their breath away! And if you are concerned about safety, relax: at the Olympic Canal, you can hire out all of the equipment necessary to ensure a safe time on the water.
