Included within the Catalan Plan for Areas Natural Interest, the salt mountain placed Cardona firmly on the mining and then on the tourist map. In addition to the area's natural wealth, strolling through the Old Town is a real pleasure: the old mediaeval walled town and the subsequent reconstruction of the Gothic enclosure have made this historical centre an Asset of Cultural Interest, defended by a real and inexpungible fortification that reflects centuries of military history.

- Visit the interior of the salt mountain. - Go up to the castle to discover the architecture and the views over the town. - Walk through the alleyways of the historic district of the old quarter. - Take part in the patron saint celebrations and in the correbou (running of bulls). Regions
