The Matamala restaurant's focus is to provide traditional high-quality cuisine, as such, they make use of seasonal produce and follow a 'zero kilometre' concept, in other words, employing locally-sourced raw ingredients. Some of the house specialities are watermelon and tomato gazpacho, the skewer of Penedès 'black leg' chicken and Baix Llobregat vegetables, fish from small-scale Arenys de Mar fisheries, and the seasonal fruit flan. They run a shop selling choice gastronomic produce, and even organise workshops, tasting, gastronomy sessions and so on.
