La Terrassa del Claris

There are restaurants whose mere location speaks volumes about the quality you might find inside. This is the case of Terraza del Claris, on the top floor of the Claris hotel in Barcelona, a five star reference point in the city very close to the paseo de Gracia. The hotel is housed the former Vedruna palace. It has a Neoclassic façade and interior décor that combines avant-garde items with unique antiques. For example, we can find a fourth-century Roman mosaic or a Hindu god figurine which is more than 1500 years old. In this ambience of exclusive luxury is the restaurant. It has the added bonus of excellent panoramic views of the city of Barcelona. The restaurant menu varies depending on the time of day. In any case, it always maintains the same quality criteria and serves Mediterranean experimental cuisine with gastro-surprises and great flavours in each recipe. For anyone who wishes to try one of its main delicacies, Iranian caviar appears in each of the four varieties. Easier to imagine, although with the chef's personal touch here, there are ravioli of foie and asparagus or tartar of salmon and river crab. The meat includes the recipe for wagyu, a fillet of meat brought to the table with vegetables demonstrating the restaurant's interest in the quality of raw materials. After dinner, la Terraza del Claris is one of the most exclusive meeting points in Barcelona's Eixample district. It's an ideal time to try out its cocktails and long drinks whilst grooving to a bossanova or live DJ sessions.
