Can Garriga

Next to the Romanesque church in this small town located at the foot of the Montseny, we find what was once an inn that was later turned into a restaurant. But that was almost fifty years ago. There, you can taste traditional cuisine with dishes such as potato confit strudel and Perol black sausage butifarra, ceps carpaccio with a salad and truffle vinaigrette, cod gratin with prawns, country roast with mel i mato farcellets (honey rolls), stewed beef with wild mushrooms, pigs trotters with cuttlefish and crayfish and barbecued meats, all accompanied by a magnificent coca bread with tomato. Make sure to save room for dessert, which mix traditional with creative, and always served with a porron of Moscatel wine. The wine list is interesting, especially the red wines, with Costers del Segre, Penedès, Navarra, Ribera del Duero, Toro, Cigales and Somontano designations of origin.
