Penedès360, the region at your pace!
Slow Bike Route
The flatness of the Penedès area makes it ideal for exploring by bike, as leisurely as you like, and that’s where the Penedès360 - Slow Bike Route comes in. It’s a circular route split into four easily manageable stages. In addition to vineyards, you’ll discover castles, monasteries, chapels, little villages or dry-stone constructions. Each stage is between 35 and 49 km long, with a cumulative elevation gain of 600 metres at the most. Vilafranca del Penedès, Sant Jaume dels Domenys, Torrelles de Foix or Sant Sadurní d'Anoia are just a few of the places along the route.
For mountain bikers
The Slow Bike Route has a “cousin” in the same region: the Penedès360 - MTB Route. This is a more technical challenge in the mountains of the Penedès area, designed for riders with some mountain biking experience. The route offers different variations that can be completed in three, four or five days. The five-day route covers 281 km, with a cumulative elevation gain of 7,000 metres. The stages head into the Garraf region at various points and reach coastal towns such as Sitges.
If walking is more your thing, there’s also an eight-stage circular route in Alt Penedès that gives you the chance to explore the region thoroughly. It’s a moderately difficult route that covers 151 km in total with a cumulative elevation gain of 4,000 metres. Departing from Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, it takes in towns such as Sant Pau d'Ordal, Banyeres del Penedès, Sant Martí Sarroca or Sant Quintí de Mediona.
