Naturism is very popular along the Costa Barcelona, which boasts around twenty beaches where, if you want, you can easily dispense with your swimsuit. In the region of Maresme, many seaside towns have nudist areas that are highly regarded by diehard naturists, such as Naiara Cove in Montgat, Ponent Beach in El Masnou and Musclera in Arenys de Mar. With easy access, these places are shared by local naturists and those who arrive from Barcelona by rail or road.
If you prefer more privacy when taking off your clothes in public, you should visit any of the three beaches located a little further north, between Sant Pol de Mar and Calella de la Costa. La Cabra Beach, Les Roques Cove and Roca Grossa Beach are beautiful locations boasting perfectly clear waters and a stillness that will put you in harmony with the Mediterranean.
Much closer to the Catalonian capital you can also find some very interesting nudist beaches in Baix Llobregat. La Murtra Beach in Viladecans, Les Dunes in Gavà and the mouth of La Ricarda Lake in El Prat de Llobregat are rarely visited by non-naturists and are ideal for relaxing and enjoying the sun and sea, even in high season.
And you should not miss out on a visit to the south of the province either, because Sitges has several beaches that are true naturist havens. In the heart of the Garraf Coast is Morisca Cove, a small beach that is set among cliffs and enjoys a very relaxed atmosphere. Boasting all kinds of amenities and excellent transport links, Els Balmins Beach is a nudist beach located by the breakwater of the local marina. And between Sitges and Vilanova, by the tip of the Desenrocada, Home Mort Cove and Roses Beach are two ideal places to get an all-over tan.
