Castellfollit del Boix green bean

With a fine texture and shiny skin, the green bean from Castellfollit del Boix is a dry-farmed crop which is native to the municipality of the same name. It has been grown since the 16th century. Traditionally this bean has been served with tortilla and mushrooms, but also with grilled butifarra cured sausage or bacon. It contains carbohydrates and protein, like all other beans.
