Joan Benet, who sadly passed away in 2013, opened Chocoa in 1969 in the centre of Barcelona, and it continues to offer an exquisite menu with typical traditional Catalan cuisine. The main ingredient of the house speciality is cod, and the menu has an exclusive section dedicated to it, but without forgetting rice and noodles and fish and meats, always with fresh produce and the best quality that the market has to offer. Home made desserts and a full wine cellar with the best varieties form the country are waiting to wash it all down.
