The Colònia Vidal museum in Puig-reig explains in situ what life in a textile colony was like at the beginning of the 20th century, demonstrated by a tour around the buildings that make up the colony: the school, the factory, the houses, the church, the fishmonger’s, the library, the wash house, the showers, the theatre, the butcher’s, the orchards, the barber’s, the bank, etc.A permanent exhibition showing the everyday life of the workers at the colony and the services of this industrial ensemble.Built by the side of Llobregat river, between Navàs and Berga, the last remaining space in an area that brought together the main concentration of colonies in Europe, was set up between 1892 and 1901 and was in operation until the 1980s.
