Bayona

Hotel which draws from the tradition of stops and inns in the strategic location of La Panadella, a 710-meter hight mountain pass at an intermediate point between Barcelona and Lleida. An important Roman road, the high road and the N-II national road passed through this place, and celebrities from all eras stayed here overnight, from Queen Elizabeth II to the footballer Samitier or the presidents of the Generalitat de Catalunya Lluís Companys and Francesc Macià.Today, although the new layout of the A-2 motorway no longer passes through La Panadella, the petrol station, the great parking for 150 trucks and the restaurant with open kitchen from six o'clock in the morning until one o'clock at night are maintained. It offers simple and functional rooms, designed to provide rest to travellers who wish to make a stop during their road trip.
