Can Barrina

A terraced garden decorated with classical statues and flowerbeds spreads off the front of the isolated farmhouse off the Palautordera road in the Parc Natural del Montseny. The garden surrounding the building acting as a viewpoint over the wooded area also hides a rather large pool and some corners with tables and benches under the trees. The farmhouse dates back to 1620 and, despite reforms, keeps its tradition visible in the structure of the main building with a gabled roof and a façade painted white, adorned with plants and stone lintels on doors and windows. Stone preside once again over some rooms, such as the bar and dining rooms, warmed by a good fire. Can Barrina has a lounge, a meeting large room with sloping ceilings, a banquet hall and a bright reading room that overlooks the garden through large windows. The bedroom area includes fourteen double rooms and beautiful wicker and wood furniture. The restaurant is one of the main attractions of this hotel, with cuisine including grilled specialities, coques (pies) and dishes like mushroom ravioli, loin of venison with raspberries from the Montseny and a good selection of homemade desserts.
