Mastinell

The first thing that grabs one's attention is the winery's incredible location on the outskirts of Vilafranca del Penedès, in the very heart of the DO Penedès, surrounded by vineyards at the foot of Sant Pau Mountain. These vineyards provide the winery with all its products.Inside the facility one can see the vinification area and tirage bottling of cava before visiting the underground cellars. There the bottles rest for a minimum of two years, as Mastinell only markets Reserva and Gran Reserva cavas.Visits to the Heretat MasTinell facility are aimed at the entire public. From small private groups, aficionados and sector professionals to large tourist groups or companies interested in activities or meetings, the winery's doors are open to everyone.The tour focuses primarily on the cava-making process. Heretat Mastinell employs the latest technology in the production of an unparalleled brand.Afterwards, guests can also observe the cava disgorging line. The lees are extracted from the bottles and the cork stopper is attached. The muzzle, top and label give the product its distinctive image. At the end of the visit, guests can sample all the wines and cavas of Heretat Mastinell. Whoever is interested can also purchase the products in the winery store.The winery wants to share with wine lovers the full breadth of its experience in the production of cava and wine. To this end, it created Hotel Mastinell, a wine tourism centre which houses a high-end hotel that includes, in addition to twelve rooms, a wine tasting room and convention centre for 160 people. The project is completed with an extensive offer of activities related to wine in the privileged viniculture region of Penedès.
