Panellets play a major role in Autumn in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and Valencia. They are sweet treats made from potato, sugar, almond flour and egg yolk, and are eaten during the All Saints feast traditionally accompanied by chestnuts, sweet potatoes and Moscatel wine. They are generally small and round in shape and the most emblematic panallet the one covered in pine nuts. However, they can be decorated with different ingredients; for example candied cherries, coconut or chocolate.
