Ball dels Romeus i la Pitota
On the Sunday of Carnival, the dance performed in Prats de Lluçanès is the Ball dels Romeus i la Pitota.
The Ball dels Romeus i la Pitota is a dance that was recovered by the people of Prats de Lluçanès for Carnival in the 1980s. Before that it had not been danced for more than 60 years. It is now danced by young men and women who represent the Romeus. One of them is Father Abbott who becomes the star of the dance when the rest of the dancers lift him up with handkerchiefs. You will know where they're dancing, because you will hear the unmistakable sound of the flageolet!
