Enramades in Sallent
On the eve of Corpus Christi, Sallent becomes transformed. The streets are adorned with all kinds of material to preside over the festival events.
If on the Wednesday before Corpus Christi, you take a walk through Sallent in the evening, you will be able to enjoy the full essence of the Enramades or floral carpets. The locals decorate the streets with the creations they have been preparing for months. It is a 600-year-old tradition which was originally celebrated to receive the Corpus Christi procession. It is now more of a secular festival that brings to mind a centenary celebration. And if you can't make it on the Wednesday, don't worry. The streets will be decorated for five days!
