Les Neus Town Festival
Les Neus Town Festival is Vilanova i la Geltrú's main festival. Why not find out more about it?
The Mare de Déu de les Neus became the patron saint of Vilanova i la Geltrú in 1781 when the town asked for her protection from a hailstorm that had damaged the harvesting of the wine grapes. Since then, the beginning of August has been the date for the city's main town festival. Various activities inundate the town with fire, dances and human towers in a festival that is led by seven locals called pabordes to commemorate a mediaeval figure.
