Terramar

The Terramar beach stretches on the southern tip of the Sitges promenade, in front of the Ciudad Jardín residential area, from which it gets its name. It is characterized by the existence of four small artificial islands, created to protect the sand. Located between the Les Anquines beach to the west, and the Barra beach to the east, it is around four hundred metres long and 25 metres wide. In it we find the Centro de Estudios del Mar of the Diputació de Barcelona. It has a rescue and first aid post, public toilets, showers and foot-washers, access ramps for the disabled, a beach bar, and sunshade, deckchair and pedalo rental service. It can be accessed from the promenade, where we can park the car in the paying zones. One can also get there by urban bus or with the tourist train that covers the promenade.
