Shunka

The name of this restaurant, in Venezuelan slang, means something along the lines of 'I'm in great shape' or 'I'm fine'. It is also the name of a very famous race horse in the same Latin American country. This restaurant with its modern décor offers fusion cooking with Mediterranean roots. The menu is simple but well balanced, with dishes that are well presented with a creative touch. Its different suggestions include starters such as wok-fried wild mushrooms; Provençal tomato salad with a gorgonzola cheese ice cream; scrambled eggs with cuttlefish, bacon and leek; vegetable millefeuille, or carpaccio of tuna with soya and honey vinaigrette. Among the main dishes, you can choose the kangaroo fillet with prune and cognac sauce and potato stack, the warm vitello with yoghurt sauce, pabellón criollo (rice, shredded beef and black beans), hake cake with black olive tapenade, fillet of pork Stroganov, teriyaki chicken with marmalade of the magret of duck with reduction of Jerez sherry and passion fruit. For dessert, there's mango sorbet or the chocolate ice cream cake, among others. Its wine list includes products from the country's main denominations of origin.
