The Festa Major, the annual festivities in honour of the patron saint of Sitges, listed as a traditional event of national interest, is the big event in the local calendar
To celebrate the saint's day of Sant Bartomeu (St. Bartholomew), the patron saint of Sitges, the 23rd and 24th August see the main events, including the arrival of the traditional graller pipe band, parades and processions featuring the Giants, the Dragon, the Eagle, the Devils and traditional dances, as well as the spectacular Castell de Foc fireworks at 11pm on 23rd on La Fragata beach.
