Verdaguer Festival
The Verdaguer Festival comprises two weeks of poetry to commemorate the birth of the poet.
The Verdaguer Festival is one of the oldest literary festivals in Europe. The main event is the planting of the May tree, but during this literary fortnight, Folgueroles offers plenty of other activities. At the Old Poetry Book Market you’ll find that edition you’ve always been after. You can also discover the Folgueroles ballet, an ancient dance that has been revived and that now honours Father Jacint Verdaguer. You can also go on the Verdaguer Route to discover all the special places that appear in his poems!
