Transèquia
Follow the path alongside the irrigation canal built in the 14th century to bring water to Manresa. Do the Transèquia!
You can do it by bicycle, on foot or by handbike. The Transèquia is a race that pays tribute to the people who between 1339 and 1383 built the sèquia (irrigation canal) though which water is still channelled to Manresa today. Considered one of the most important hydraulic engineering works of the Middle Ages, it covers 26 km with an elevation gain/loss of just ten metres. Starting in Balsareny, it reaches Manresa after passing through Sallent, Santpedor and Sant Fruitós. Take part and discover the place where water becomes a path!
