Run while enjoying nature

The breathtaking mountains of the Berguedà region, with the Cadí and Pedraforca mountain ranges on the horizon, provide a unique setting for two of the region's most important races. The Ultra Cavalls del Vent starts in Bagà and reaches the eight mountain shelters located within the Cadí-Moixeró Nature Park. The route, which runs alongside the striking Torrent dels Empedrats, covers 100 kilometres and has a cumulative elevation gain of 13,300 metres. Another opportunity to enjoy sports while taking in the landscapes of the Berguedà region is the Berga-Rasos-Berga Mountain Race, which starts and ends in the region’s capital and goes up to the top of Rasos de Peguera. In total, it covers 26 kilometres and has a cumulative elevation gain of 3,600 metres along very special trails in the surroundings of Berga. Both competitions are very tough, but the effort is worth it!

Closer to Barcelona, in the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac Nature Park, the First Mountain Marathon of Catalonia is an event that you cannot miss, if you are an athlete. The race starts in Sant Llorenç Savall at the end of October and has gained a lot of prestige among long-distance runners in Catalonia thanks to its physical demands, but also to the beauty of the natural scenery.
