Nau Gaudí

Built by Antoni Gaudí in 1883 on commission from the cooperative La Obrera Mataronense, this former cotton-bleaching shed is one of the earliest surviving buildings by the architect. It was in this industrial space that Gaudí first used parabolic arches as load-bearing elements. Today, the Nau Gaudí houses the collection of publicist Lluís Bassat, one of the most representative collections of art from the second half of the 20th century.
