Sitges Carnival
One of the best-known festive events in the regions of Barcelona. The Sitges Carnival has over 100 years of history!
From Fat Thursday to Ash Wednesday, life in Sitges is governed by the orders of King Carnestoltes. The most heavily attended events are the street parades with carnival floats. The Rua de la Disbauxa (literally, the Debauchery Parade) is held on Carnival Sunday, while the Rua de l'Extermini (literally, the Extermination Parade) is held on Carnival Tuesday. It’s a truly spectacular carnival with fancy dress costumes that wouldn’t look out of place in a Brazilian carnival. Come and join in the fun of the craziest festival in Sitges!
