Vall-Llobrega

The house, which dates from the late 16th century, offers the charm and tranquillity of a country house in the heart of the mountainside and with all modern amenities. The house features a large space for weddings, business meetings and other events and catering is available on request. The spectacular crags and century-old trees embody the more vigorous aspects of the surrounding area.Nearby there are attractive marked trails for hiking through oak and beech woodlands that display their full palette of colours in the spring and in the autumn. A variety of excursions of between 45 minutes and three hours and at all levels of difficulty are available within walking distance of the house. It is worth noting that this valley was often traversed by the famous “Maqui” Ramon Vila, known by the nicknames Caracremada (Burnt-face) or Peus llargs (Long-feet), who was a Spanish guerrilla during the Spanish Civil War. This well-known character was born in the town of Peguera.
