Casablanca

Sant Jaume de Frontanyà is the smallest but perhaps the most charming town in Catalonia. Surrounded by pine and oak trees and irrigated by the tributaries of the Merlès stream, it is 1,072 metres above sea level. Casablanca is an old farmhouse that retains a traditional, rustic style. It has three bedrooms, one double with a single bed, one twin and a third with five beds, i.e. it sleeps for ten people. There is a restaurant, where traditional home cooking using local produce is provided. The environment offers hiking along several customised routes, through El Pla de la Creu, Faig i Branca, Los Rasos de Tubau, a visit to the village church or a trip to listen to rutting deer.
