El Jardí

On 24 July 1940, Granja Pla was opened on Sant Isidre de Igualada's rambla. It started off as a tasting room with a family feel, open to all, thereby breaking with the tradition at the time that only men went to cafés. The innovative spirit of that time stayed with the place. In 1981, the original farm became the Jardí restaurant. The current menu is based on typical Mediterranean dishes although with more original creative touches. The suggestions include creamy rice with ceps and snow peas, the monkfish stew with potatoes, onion and fennel jam, Penedès cockerel with vine peaches or the Iberian tournedos in syrah with sweet and sour apple.
