Paco Meralgo

#
With the spirit of an age old tavern but with 21st century décor and atmosphere, Paco Meralgo offer a different way of approaching classic tapas, montaditos (open sandwiches) and old favourite portions. The design is intended to be informal yet elegant: large picture windows, typical counters and a comfortable dining room. This all comes together to give a restaurant offering original, excellent quality meals following a tapas formula. You can try practically any kebab you might image here. For vegetable addicts, there are tapas such as courgette flower and mozzarella, strips of Andalusia aubergine, artichoke shavings, the variety of grilled seasonal baby vegetables, green asparagus grill and different salads, such as the house salad, an Iberian potato salad with pork crackling or the tuna belly, tomato and onion salad. There's no lack of classic dishes such as chicken and ham croquettes, dough balls, cresta pastries, Iberian cured ham, selection of cold meat or bomba pastries, essential in any restaurant of this style. If you prefer fish and seafood, there's a lot to choose from, from Palamos prawns on the grill to scallops, eels, cod, razor clams, oysters or squid among many others. As far as meat is concerned, there is also a lot of variety in the form of tapas, such as steak cubes with black pepper, fricandeau con Scotch bonnet mushrooms or Milan-style kid ribs. To finish off any great meal, you need a great dessert and the Paco Meralgo restaurant can provide just that. You can eat classics such as torrijas, Fonteta cuajada, the tap de Cadaqués, crema catalana or lemon sorbet, if you want something a little lighter. And to drink, there's even more quality on the table. Its wine list has some well-chosen references to accompany any of the tapas you might choose.
