Gorría

#
This restaurant, standing in Barcelona's Eixample district, offers high quality Basque-Navarran cuisine from a family with one of the best known surnames in the world of hospitality: Gorría. As any meal at Gorria promises to be hearty, the starters tend to be light such as a garlic soup, a fish soup or the cream of lobster. The meat pays homage to their homeland such as suckling pig from Estella, Iruña entrecôte, Vera de Bidasoa lamb chops or Roncal lamb. But there's no shortage of classics either such as Girona tenderloin, stewed oxtail or the venison steak. The fish includes specialities such as cocochas (cheeks) in green sauce, oven-baked hake, monkfish stuffed with smoked salmon, cod dishes, typical txangurro (crab) cooked in the typical Basque way or the Orrio-style sea bass.
