Caves Vilarnau

The Vilarnau cellars are modern installations built in 2005. The building, with its perfectly integrated architectural lines, is ensconced in a picturesque setting. The Castell de Vilarnau cellars were founded by the Andalusian group González Byass (Tío Pepe, Soberano, etc.) mainly for the production of quality cava to complement its range of wines. They produce a total of two million bottles of cava per year and a smaller number of bottles of wine. The labels on the range of Vilarnau products feature the work of renowned designer Salvatore Adducci. The gardens have flowers and lawns as well as a 350-year-old holm oak that has become one of the emblems of the brand. Completing the bucolic scene is an artificial lake that feeds the automatic irrigation system that waters twenty hectares of vineyard (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada) cultivated according to the principles of precision viticulture.Caves Vilarnau is strongly committed to promoting the company and transmitting its passion to guests. Wine tourism visits are ideally suited to enjoying the setting, sampling the company's products and admiring the cellar, decorated by fashion designer Antoni Miró. Caves Vilarnau offers a wide range of experiencesto satisfy all tastes: cava tastings, cava therapy, bike, helicopter or hot air balloon rides, and a stay nestled among the vineyards in a nearby hotel. In addition, Caves Vilarnau is interested in the intersection of art and cava. To this end, they offer temporary exhibitions next to the arrays of bottles left to stand.
