Llarga

Being worthy for a few years now, of the Blue Flag, awarded by the European Union, the Llarga beach is the main beach of Cubelles. It is protected from storms by seven breakwaters, parallel to the beach leading to a succession of large coves. It has a length of nearly two kilometres, although only the first 500 meters belong to the municipality of Cubelles the rest is part of Vilanova y la Geltrú. It provides first aid and rescue services, showers, toilets adapted for the disabled and foot-washers. In addition, as it is an urban beach, bars, cafes and ice cream parlours are easy to find a few metres from the sand. During the period with the greatest amount of swimmers, canoes and pedalos can also be rented. Parking can be found in the village or on the eastern side of the beach, on the limit with the municipality of Vitoria-Gasteiz, where there is a large area reserved for this purpose.
