Cal Guarro mill
Also known as the Cal Font or Cal Creixell mill, this paper mill was built in the mid-18th century on the right bank of the Anoia River, not far from the cluster of houses known as La Rata.
Taking advantage of a water establishment from 1720, in 1745, Francesc Guarro was granted the right to build a paper mill on the property formerly owned by the Coca family. The Guarros had been producing paper since 1698 at the Dalt de Cal Coca mill.
According to an inventory from 1794, the mill had an oratory with an altar and images of St Francis of Paola, St Andrew, an Immaculate Conception and a mural painting of Our Lady of the Waters, all of which are now lost.
