The reward is the church of Sant Jaume de Vallhonesta, which today lies in ruins, but was an important setting for Maquis activities during the post-war period. You will walk around surrounded by fields of grain and see old farmhouses that look like something out of a fairy tale. Do not miss the former textile colonies (industrial settlements) of Ametlla de Casserres and La Plana, true architectural gems. Relax when you reach the artificial lake of Graugés, a natural haven of peace. If you go with your family, children will be able to see ducks swimming and other animals coming to drink water. Do not forget your picnic and enjoy a meal by the pond. But, first and foremost: Remember that this is a bird nesting area, so it is very important to respect the environment, keep quiet and stay on the marked paths.
