Water activities at the Olympic Canal of Catalonia

In the morning, a windsurfing course or a kayaking trip. In the afternoon, a sail in a dinghy to feel the breeze on your skin or a water-skiing session. The next day, some wakeboard jumps, an introduction to stand-up paddleboarding or a spin on a jet ski. At the Olympic Canal of Catalonia, you can do all this and much more. Would you like to find out if you are water-ready?

The Olympic Canal of Catalonia, located in Castelldefels, is a great option for exercising outdoors. Right by the beach, surrounded by Mediterranean pines and built on the wetlands of the Llobregat delta, this artificial lake is a dream setting for practising many water sports.

Built for the 1992 Olympic Games, the canal is considerably large and is designed to meet the needs of all athletes: young and old, amateurs and professionals alike. The range of activities on offer is vast and includes most water sports and games, from canoeing and sailing to pedaloes and water bikes.

Children will be delighted with the inflatable water park and will have a great time sliding down the slides or balancing on the obstacles. Teenagers, on the other hand, will fall in love with the Wake Park: with a 650-metre cable, they will be breathless jumping across the water! If you are worried about their safety, you can rest assured: At the Olympic Canal, you can hire all the necessary equipment to practise this and any other activity safely.
