Miramar

Built in 1929 for the Universal Exhibition held in Barcelona, itis located in the privileged slopes of Montjuïc, next to the Costa i Llobera garden. It boasts magnificent panoramic views of the sea and the city. After a long history, in which it served, among others, as the Spanish TV broadcasting centre, the building was renovated and enlarged in 2006 by architect Óscar Tusquets. Its facilities were modernised to turn it into a luxury hotel. It has a garden, which was designed by architect Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier, who covered it with trees and filled it with plants from typically Mediterranean species. It offers a terrace and a spectacular pool that seems to touch the sky of the Catalan capital.
