Hostal Can Missé

The pointed rocks of Montserrat serve as the backdrop for this hostel located in a manor in the old quarter of Collbató, at the foot of the mountain massif. A short distance away, the town of Monistrol de Montserrat provides access by funicular or cable car to the monastery on the top of the sacred mountain. The traditional Can Missé building retains its old structure and characteristic vaulted ceilings. A courtyard with a well and some trees precede the main façade, which offers access to the ground floor. There is a reception, a café open to the public, a dining room with a large fireplace and a living room that is perfect for a chat over coffee. The rooms, with bathroom and Internet access, are distributed over the three floors of the building. Attic rooms are also available on the top floor. All rooms, with wrought iron and wooden furniture, are decorated with a touch that distinguishes them. A bright living room serves as a common room for guests to relax. This relaxation is a must after some of the proposals organised by the hostel, such as the guided tour of the Salnitre caves, of which more than five hundred metres can be visited, or horse riding around Collbató and its surrounding roads.
