Sagardi BCN Argenteria

One of the most deeply rooted customs in the Basque Country is to meet up at a bar to drink cider and savour some classic pinchos. Sagardi wishes to maintain this culture in its restaurant, serving perennial Basque cuisine with the essential glass of cider or txakoli. The restaurant has one of the nicest terraces in the old town, in the calle de la Argenteria. It promotes this classic tapas concept in age-old style, with excellent quality and a meticulously devised wine list. Its speciality bar snacks include typical sweet red piquillo peppers, cod omelette, homemade wild duck pâté, croquettes, ham, chistorra and any open sandwich or portion that you might imagine. If you prefer to sit down to eat, there are also excellent dishes to be had at its grill, on show to the public, cooking your food to order. So you can choose from beef steak and Iberian pork ribs, turbot, monkfish or sea bass among the fish, or little gem lettuces from Tudela, a real classic in this type of restaurant. There's more quality on show with the drinks, featuring wines from different denominations of origin such as La Rioja, Ribera del Duero or Navarra, cider from Astigarraga or txakoli from Getaria.
