The Calmness Spa, together with the Crack Sports Club, forms part of the Hotel Ciutat, a complex located on the outskirts of Granollers. Built in 1992 and refurbished in 2007, it is ten kilometres away from the Parc Natural del Montseny and from the Montmeló racing circuit. The spa has three pools. Two of them one indoor and another outdoor are suitable for swimming and aquagym. The third also indoor is adapted for therapeutic use: it contains the same salt concentration as the Dead Sea, making it easier for bathers to float and help to calm stress, insomnia and other complaints. The Calmness Spa also has four saunas, two Jacuzzis, a Turkish bath, a shower with orange aroma and a Scottish shower. It also has a relaxation room with hot sofas, with personal music and televisions, where tea perfumed with fruit and flowers is served. Its five treatment rooms are used for massages (lymphatic drainage, chiromassage, anti-cellulite massage), mud and seaweed wraps, electrical current treatment to tighten muscles, UVA rays and many other facial and body beauty treatments. The most luxurious treatments include applying products derived from wine, caviar, gold and silver. The sports centre adjoining the spa has a gym with fitness machines, a studio for instructor-led activities and six multi-use courts for tennis and paddle tennis. The centre offers a weekly programme of aquagym , aerobics,, stretching, body building, spinning, yoga and ballroom dancing sessions. You can use these facilities and services by paying an entry fee or by becoming a member of the centre. You can also buy gift season tickets.
