Dalt de Cal Coca mill

While this paper mill dates to 1674, it may have been built earlier, in the 16th century. It is one in a series of mills in the Figueres neighbourhood and one of the oldest in La Pobla.

In 1695, the Coca family appears as the former owner of rights to four mills. In 1923, Ròmul Gavarró Garcia bought the Dalt and Baix de Cal Coca flour and paper mills to use the water for economic purposes and founded a company to supply drinking water to Igualada and Vilanova del Camí. Since 1963, this mill has been a private residence, yet retains its architectural essence. It also continues to house some of the furniture and productive elements from the old mill.
