2. The Napa Witch Tour: mystery and magic in the Lluçanès region

This 6-kilometre tour starts in Prats de Lluçanès and takes you to the town's most enigmatic spots. From Sant Pere Street, head up towards Sant Pere del Grau and discover the Cadira d’en Galceran, a large throne-shaped rock from where the view of the Merlès Valley will leave you speechless. Further on, enter the forest until you reach Roc Foradat, a place steeped in witchcraft legends, where the witch Napa is believed to have cast her spells. Before finishing, the tour will take you to thechapel of Sant Sebastià, where you can admire the town from above. You will walk along the Tordera River until you reach the sea, crossing areas where you can see birds and other water animals, such as frogs. Children will love looking for animals along the way and imagining how they live in this special natural environment. Eventually, you can stop for a picnic on the riverbank, while your children play near the water. Do not forget your binoculars to watch the wildlife! By the way: If you visit the area in autumn or spring, you are more likely to see different birds, as these are the migration periods.

From downtown Collsuspina, you will climb up to Roc de la Guàrdia, also known as the Pyrenees viewpoint or Roc Gros, a peak from which you can see the mountains, fields and villages, as if you were a bird flying overhead. Children can run freely along the wide paths, while you discover wildflowers, birds and even some farm animals together. You will reach the hilltop chapel of Sant Adjutori, with panoramic views of the village and the farmland of the Lluçanès region. 6. Enchanted forests and breathtaking views ​​​​​​​of the surroundings of Tossal de Saldes



Shall we go and explore an enchanted forest?​​​​​​​ This tour, which passes by farmhouses, a few springs and many tall, leafy trees, will seem like something out of a mysterious fairy tale. Children can pretend to be explorers in a magical land, as they follow the dirt tracks and trails with yellow and white markings. When you reach the top, you will be flabbergasted at the views of Pedraforca, the Cadí-Moixeró mountain range, as well as the villages of Gisclareny and Saldes, which you will also have been able to see along the tour from different perspectives and will fill your mobile phone with postcard images. 7. The Malhivern Trail



A tour to enjoy the genuine landscape of the Vallès region, with its crops and olive groves, combined with Modernisme, Roman baths and an old tile factory. This hiking circuit starts at the La Garriga Visitor Centre and takes us to the town’s popular Passeig (promenade), where large towers stand as a legacy of the summer Modernisme of the early 20th century. It gradually enters the Malhivern forest, which gives the tour its name, to reveal the landscape surrounding the village, which is full of dryland crops. Do not miss two unique heritage sites: an old brick factory, where some of the materials used to build the towers were probably made, and the old Roman villa of Can Terrers, a cultural asset of national interest, which still includes an old bathing area. Just before or after the tour, you will find a playground with picnic tables next to the forest.
