It has been quite a few years (1931!) since Miquel Llor wrote Laura a la ciutat dels sants (Laura in the City of Saints), a successful novel set in Vic, a city that was renamed Comarquinal. Vic has changed a lot since then ... or perhaps not that much? The fog is still present on many days, and the iconic areas of the capital of Osona already attracted visitors: the Plaça Major, the cathedral, the streets in the centre ... A town steeped in history and heritage that is definitely worth visiting.

Some of the best writers and poets of Catalan literature were born, lived or died in the regions around Barcelona, and they admired its corners so much that they ended up immortalising them in their works. Natural landscapes, haunted houses, open-air markets and cobbled streets you can now explore thanks to the well-signposted literary routes. Are you ready for an unforgettable tourist experience?

Very close to Barcelona you will find a great many examples of modernista works created between the 19th and 20th centuries. Urban palaces and holiday homes, churches and hospitals, warehouses and gardens, factories and cellars, all with the signature of the great architects of the movement in Catalonia: Antoni Gaudí, Lluís Domènech i Montaner, and Josep Puig i Cadafalch, among others.
