La Vietnamita Born

Located in the Born neighbourhood, very close to the old market and the church of Santa Maria del Mar, this restaurant creatively captures the modern feel of this area in the form of tapas and portions. Before serving up these luxurious dishes, their chef, Paco Guzmán, gained experience in different kitchens in other well-known restaurants. Finally, he took on an old storehouse to make tapas from all over the world and create one of the most popular places in the city. The price is in good proportion to the quality on offer. As well as the originality of each dish and the fusion of different tastes which can be savoured, there are the classic and traditional tapas. There are also other suggestions such as oysters in laurel cream, banana crisps with yucca, clams in green sauce or other exotic dishes such as sunomono, a Japanese dish with vegetables, seaweed and fish with rice vinegar. Any dish can be eaten either at the bar or at the small tables in the establishment that also has its kitchen on-show. The wine list boasts some of the best-known Catalan and Spanish denominations of origin and the occasional exceptional recommended wine that changes with the season.
