Castelltallat Astronomical Observatory

Sometimes, to rediscover the miracle of existence, all you have to do is look up at the sky: far from the light pollution of big cities, you can see the grandeur of the cosmos quite clearly. However, if you want to do it properly, you will need to visit an astronomical observatory. These stargazing centres are located in privileged locations, with stable atmospheric conditions and unpolluted skies, and have such powerful telescopes that, when opened, a superb show unfolds before our eyes. In the regions around Barcelona, there are several of these perfect places for stargazing. Do you know where they are?

Museu del Traginer d'Igualada

Muleteers, ragpickers, stampers, weavers, tanners, potters, paper makers... The world has changed so much over the last hundred years that we sometimes forget that there didn’t use to be app developers, community managers or drone operators. Fortunately, there’s is an extremely effective antidote to such ignorance and forgetfulness! The museums that tell us about the jobs of our grandparents and help us understand who we are and where we come from.

Maresme from the Sant Mateu viewpoint

Between Vallès and Maresme lies the Serralada Litoral (coastal range), a protected area between large city centres. An ideal place to breathe in some fresh air, exercise and enjoy the stunning views over the sea and the Maresme region. We suggest two routes between the inland and the beach, i.e. between Vallès and Maresme, to contemplate the blue horizon.
