It is difficult to find a more appropriate name than Montserrat (serrated mountain) for Catalonia’s most iconic mountain range. Anoia is a region with a wide diversity of local products such as chick peas from Alta Anoia, arròs paperer (rice and meat stew), the tasty botifarra sausages from Calaf, the thousand flower honey and olive oil. The range of products grown and produced in the region is rich and diverse and, in some cases, little known.
