Prepare your outing

  • Respect current traffic regulations.

  • Find out about the weather conditions and the state of the route.

  • Inform your family and/or friends of the route you will be taking.

  • Check the condition of your bike before setting off.

  • Always wear your helmet securely fastened.

  • Apart from the helmet, use other protective elements, gloves, etc.

  • Use reflective materials and, if possible, wear a jersey and brightly coloured cycling clothes.

  • Make yourself visible with lights under the seat and on the handlebars.

  • Take out insurance with your travel agent.

  • Follow the marked routes and do not leave the signposted areas.

  • Respect private roads.

  • Respect other road users, especially the priority of pedestrians.

  • Do not throw away the wrappers of energy bars, gels or anything else, while cycling or when you stop.

  • When you stop, park your bicycle in a safe place, where it will not be an obstacle to other cyclists.

  • In case of emergency, call 112.
