Tourdera

We follow the Tordera and the Arbúcies stream on their journey from the Montseny mountains to the Mediterranean Sea.

La Tourdera is a route that follows the courses of the Tordera river and the Arbúcies stream between the Montseny Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve and the Mediterranean Sea, a route of between 65 and 75 km. The route, which is signposted all along the way, runs between the counties of Barcelona and Girona and can be organized in several sections.

Along the paths of La Tourdera we enjoy a great range of landscapes from the more than 1,100 m altitude, where the Tordera river and the Arbúcies stream rise, to the sea: deciduous forests, shady ravines, riverside environments, agricultural valleys, the wide mouth where the river merges with the sea ... We also walk through charming villages, where we can stay and enjoy good local cuisine and discover a rich historical and cultural heritage.
